The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) approved on 7 November, in an extraordinary Governing Council, a social fund of 1.5 million euros to meet the academic needs of its students. This financial support represents a strong commitment by the UPV to promote equity and ensure that all students have access to the resources necessary for their academic and personal training.
The fund will focus on helping students who face financial difficulties, covering aspects ranging from academic materials to the cost of access to technologies essential for developing their learning. The main objective is to ensure that no financial barriers prevent students from continuing their education and achieving their career goals.
The social fund will be available from the publication of an extraordinary call for applications. It will have an accessible and transparent application process to ensure that all eligible students can benefit from this support.
The UPV thus reaffirms its mission to provide an inclusive educational environment in which all students can fully develop, regardless of their financial situation, in the aftermath of the severe consequences of the flood.
