Mobiles

Donate a mobile phone that you do not use: The Universitat Politècnica de València collects and reconditions unused mobile phones to give them to whoever needs them in the affected areas.

The UPV is launching a campaign to collect unused mobile phones, for their reconditioning, data cleaning and distribution to those people who need it.

How can you collaborate? In two ways:

  1. Bringing your old device. Indicate (with a label, for example) if your phone is not unlocked (it is associated with a company) and if so, indicate which one. Please bring the charger.

Much better if you have previously deleted your personal data from the device.

If you have not been able to delete the information contained in the device, the university will proceed to delete and restart it, in order to eliminate any personal information or any other information that may exist on the aforementioned device and avoid any exfiltration of personal data that may exist on the device.

The university is not responsible for the loss of any information that may be on the device at the time of delivery.

You have delivery points in the Spontaneous Generation area of the Student House, at the counter on the second floor of the General Library building and in the concierge of building 1G of the ETSINF (Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering).

  1. Participating as a volunteer in the classification, data cleaning or distribution of terminals. To be part of the volunteer service, send an email to comunicacion@doe.upv.es
