In relation to next week’s academic activity, the UPV informs of the following guidelines, applicable to the entire university community:
Reduction of mobility
It is reiterated that in the current circumstances, public transport and private cars should be minimised, and alternatives such as walking, cycling, or scooters should be resorted to.
Partial resumption of on-site teaching in Gandia
From 18 November 2024, the Gandia campus will return to parallel on-site and online teaching, following the model already implemented at the Alcoi campus:
– Flexibility will be guaranteed for students and academic staff who, due to justified circumstances, must operate online.
– In the case of the academic staff who give classes remotely, classroom space and technical support will be provided by the school so that students can follow online classes from the campus facilities.
Flexibility for the progressive reactivation of on-site practice
The lecturers have been instructed to take up the on-site practices gradually, provided that attendance is essential, from Monday, 18 November onwards.
The heads of each centre and course will be responsible for informing students about the specific schedule for these placements.
Flexibility for the affected students
Students who are unable to attend the on-site activities that will be retaken physically may request a dispensation, thus guaranteeing that their training will not be compromised. Dispensations will be managed on an individual basis, respecting the particular circumstances of each case.
Online classes will continue to be recorded in order to facilitate the non-synchronous monitoring of the subjects by the students affected.
Restarting of the assessment tests
Assessment tests may be restarted from 28 November 2024. However, the conditions and format of these assessment tests will not be confirmed until 20 November. Centres will ensure adequate communication of assessment dates and conditions, ensuring maximum clarity for students.
